Terms and conditions
How to Enter
To enter the Scratch & Win competition at The Marketplace Gungahlin customers simply:
1. Make a purchase of $30 or more at any participating store within The Marketplace Gungahlin (“Purchase”), subject to clause 15 below.
2. Take the receipt of their Purchase to the courtesy desk at specific, advertised times to receive their scratch card (“Scratch Card”). Courtesy desk open hours are as follows December 5,6,12,13, 19 and 20 between 10am and 4pm and 23 and 24 December between 12 midday and 6pm.
3. Scratch the prize panel on the Scratch Card to reveal if they are an instant prize-winner.
4. Present winning game card to redemption point listed under latex to claim prize (“Redemption Point”).
5. Complete their details on reverse of the Scratch Card and place the Scratch Card in the entry barrel located in front of Woolworths to enter the major draw.
Duration of Competition
The competition :
(a) opens at 10.00am Saturday 5 December; and
(b) closes:
 6:00pm, Thursday 24 December 2015; or
 when all 10,000 instant scratch cards are distributed,
whichever occurs first.
Conditions of Entry
1. Information on ‘how to enter’ forms part of these ‘Conditions of Entry’.
2. One (1) scratch card will be provided for $30 or more spend.
3. Customers may only receive one scratch card per receipt.
4. Customers may enter more than once, but each entry requires the specified spend of $30 or more.
5. Receipts can be added together to total the required spend/s and must be dated within the promotional period.
6. Instant prize winning Scratch Cards must be presented to the Redemption Point listed by 6.00pm Thursday 24 December 2016, in order to claim the prize unless stated otherwise.
7. To be valid, each entry must be on a fully completed The Marketplace Gungahlin Scratch Card, and placed in the entry barrel located in front of Woolworths
8. Entry is only open to Australian residents.
9. Entries received after the close date 6:00pm Thursday 24 December 2015 will not be considered.
10. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected scratch cards.
11. Entries will not be accepted via post.
12. Entries illegible, forged, mutilated, copied or tampered with in any way will not be considered.
13. Employees and the immediate families of the Promoter, participating outlets and the agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate families mean
parents, siblings, spouse, children and grandparents.
14. Management and staff of stores at The Marketplace Gungahlin are not permitted to enter.
15. Receipts from partial lay-bys, bill payments such as the payment of credit card bills, bank transactions, bank fees and charges and service bills [such as gas, electricity, rates and phone bills] cannot be presented as receipts to enter.
16. The prize-winner must provide suitable identification to the promoters’ satisfaction to be entitled to claim the prize.
17. If the prize-winner is under the age of 18 years, the prize will be awarded to the winner’s nominated parent or guardian.
18. The Promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry that is not in accordance with the Conditions of Entry.
19. The terms and conditions of the individual stores that donate instant prizes will also apply.
20. The prize values are correct at the authorisation date of the competition. Prizes are based on RRP. The Promoter is not responsible or liable for any costs or damages whatsoever for any subsequent variation in values.
21. The prizes are not redeemable for cash and not transferable and must be taken as offered.

3. The prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to use the prize as stated.
4. If a winner is unable to satisfy these terms and conditions, the prize will be forfeited by the winner/s.
5. Postage is not offered as part of the prize package and prizes must be collected by the winner from redemption point listed under latex.
Date, Time and Place of Draws
The Major prize winner will be drawn at 11am Monday 4 January 2016 at The Marketplace Gungahlin, Centre Management office, 33 Hibberson Street, Gungahlin, ACT 2912.
1. The Major Prize-winner will be determined via a random draw from an entry barrel.
2. The decision is final. No further correspondence will be entered into.
3. The winner will be contacted by phone and in writing after the draw has taken place.
4. The winner need not be present at the draw.
If despite every reasonable effort the winner of a prize cannot be contacted, the prize will be retained for 3 months with the end of the 3 months being Monday 4 April 2016. If the prize remains unclaimed, there will be a redraw. Any redraw/s will be conducted 11am Tuesday 5 April 2106 at The Marketplace Gungahlin, Centre Management office, 33 Hibberson Street, Gungahlin, ACT 2912.
5. The winner/s name will be published on The Marketplace Gungahlin website http://www.themarketplacegungahlin.com.au/ within 72 hours since the prize draw.
Customers Information
1. By entering the promotion you give the Promoter consent to use your personal information for further purposes and promotions unless you state in writing otherwise.
2. The Promoter agrees to keep confidential all personal details obtained by the Promoter during the Promotional Period and agrees that such information will be used for the purposes of the promotion only.
3. If the customer chooses to accept the prize, the Promoter, reserves the right to use the customers name and photograph for marketing and publicity purposes.
Liability
1. The Promoter and any companies associated with this competition, accept no responsibility for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered [including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss] or for any personal injury suffered or sustained as a consequence of the use and enjoyment of any item gained via the prize except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
2. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the prize winnings or the use thereof. It is the responsibility of each entrant to seek independent advice on the possible implications this may have on their own financial situation.
3. Unless due to fraud or ineligibility under these Terms and Conditions, all valid prize claims in excess of the advertised prize pool value will be honoured.
4. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupts or affects the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, then it will be suspended subject to the approval gaming authorities in ACT, where required.
5. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion subject to the approval of the gaming authorities where required.
6. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel the Promotion and not award the prize(s) where circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control prevent the Promoter from providing the prize(s). Should the Promoter cancel the Promotion the Promoter will:
a. Advertise that the Promotion has been cancelled by placing a notice at the Centre Management Office and on The Marketplace Gungahlin’s website;
b. Promptly destroy all entries received; and
c. Not use the personal information you have provided.
7. If all or any part of any term or condition contained in these Terms and Conditions shall be declared or become unenforceable, invalid or illegal for any reason, such term or provision [or part thereof] shall be deemed severed from these Conditions of Entry and the other terms and conditions hereof shall remain in full force.
8. Participation in the Promotion implies acceptance of all conditions of entry.
