METHOD OF ENTRY
1. Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
2. Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or older. Employees of SBS, UM, Pixelcase, Flight Centre, Tourism Events Queensland, Queensland Art Gallery, Gallery of Modern Art and their associated companies and their immediate families are ineligible.
3. The competition period starts on Monday 21st December 2015 at 10am AEDT and ends on Sunday the 31st January 2016 at 11:59pm AEDT (the “Competition Period”).
4. To enter, participants must:

5. Only one (1) entry permitted per person.
6. SBS reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of identity, proof of Australian residency status at the nominated prize delivery address and/or proof of entry validity, in order to claim a prize. Acceptance of proof of identification, Australian residency status and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of SBS. In the event that a winner cannot provide proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.
7. Incomprehensible and incomplete entries will be deemed invalid.

9. The Flight Centre Voucher may be used for up to four (4) people, including the Prize winner. The Voucher may only be used for flights to and from Brisbane or within Queensland and accommodation, tours and other eligible expenses within Queensland. 10. All valid entries received during the Competition Period are automatically entered into the Prize draw. The Prize winner will be drawn at random by SBS (or its nominated agent) on Monday 1 February 2016 at 11am (AEDT) at SBS Corporation, 14 Herbert Street, Artarmon, NSW 2064. The Prize winner will be notified by email and phone on Monday 1 February 2016 at 12pm and later by writing. The name of the winner will be published on the SBS website and in The Australian newspaper on Wednesday 3rd February 2016.
UNCLAIMED PRIZE DRAW
11. If the Major Prize winner cannot be contacted or verified by Friday 5th February 2016 at 12pm (AEDT), SBS or its nominated agent will draw another winner from all remaining valid entries (“Unclaimed Major Prize Draw”) Monday 8th February at 12.30pm (AEDT). The Unclaimed Major Prize Draw winner will be notified by email and phone on Monday 8th February 2016 at 2pm (AEDT) and later in writing, and published on the SBS website and in The Australian newspaper on Wednesday 10th February 2016
TRAVEL
12. The Prize winner must book their travel through Flight Centre no later than Monday 7th March 2016. The Prize is valid for up to four (4) people and is limited to being taken between Monday 1st February and Saturday 9th April 2016 (“Travel Period”). If the Prize winner is not available or able to redeem the Prize during the Travel Period, the voucher shall be deemed null and void and the Prize will be forfeited. Any unused portion of the Prize, including the Voucher or the private tour will be forfeited.
13. The Prize winner must be over the age of 18 years.
14. Prize is subject to availability at time of booking. Travel arrangements to and from the Prize winner’s and their travel companions’ nearest airports to travel to Brisbane can form part of the Prize, if available from Flight Centre and eligible for redemption under the Voucher. While winner and companions can travel from different cities, they are required to use the voucher for the same travel period and the private tour of the 8th Asia Pacific Triennial exhibition must be booked for all four (4) people on the one chosen day.
15. The Prize winner and their travel companion/s may not be eligible to accrue any frequent flyer points from taking the Prize. Bookings are subject to conditions and availability and are not re-routable. Once booked and approved by the prize supplier, any changes may incur a cancellation fee or amendment fee at the cost of the winner. Once tickets have been issued they cannot be changed.
16. Winner must have access to a personal email account.
17. Neither SBS nor prize supplier/s or their associated companies will be held liable for any loss, damage or injury of the results directly or indirectly from the winner taking part in any aspect of the prize. Where relevant, the winner agrees that they take full responsibility for any activities engaged in while travelling and engaging in the prize package and will take out appropriate travel insurance.
18. All expenses redeemed under the Voucher that include and are not limited to accommodation, tours, meals, travel and transfers, must be used within Queensland. All other costs which are not eligible for redemption under the Voucher are the responsibility of the Prize winner and their travel companion/s. A credit card imprint may be required from the winner and their guest by the hotel for incidental charges. Travel insurance is the responsibility of the winner and their travelling companion. Travel insurance is highly recommended to protect against additional costs incurred in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
19. All Prize travel will be subject to the prize supplier’s and relevant providers’ general conditions of carriage. The Promoter and prize supplier make no representation as to the safety, conditions or other issues that may exist at any destination. It is the responsibility of the winner to enquire about local issues and conditions at destinations before travel. International travel advice may be obtained from various sources including local government, local consular offices and
www.smarttraveller.gov.au.
20. Neither SBS nor the prize supplier or their associated companies is responsible, to the extent permitted by law, for acts of god, acts of terrorism or war (declared or undeclared) or other events beyond SBS and prize supplier’s control which prevent awarding or acceptance of the prize in accordance with the prize description.
FINAL CONDITIONS
21. There may be circumstances in which the Promoter cannot provide the prizes as described for reasons beyond its reasonable control. In those circumstances, the Promoter will provide an alternative prize or prizes of equal or greater value to the promoted prizes, subject to relevant state regulations.
22. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. For the avoidance of doubt, the Prize winner must be one of the travellers taking up the Prize.
23. SBS accepts no responsibility for any loss, damages, or injury incurred to enter the competition or in connection with taking up the prizes.
24. Once prizes have left the prize supplier’s premises, the Promoter and Prize Supplier take no responsibility for prizes damaged, delayed or lost in transit.
25. SBS’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
26. SBS takes no liability for any tax issues which may arise from accepting a prize in this competition. Consult an independent tax adviser if this is a concern.
27. Prize values are based upon the recommended retail prices as of Wednesday 25 November 2015 (inclusive of GST). SBS accepts no responsibility for change in prize value between now and the ultimate prize redemption date.
28. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and the prize supplier’s requirements.
29. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, SBS (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal or permanent injury or loss of life; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion.
30. SBS and the prize supplier/s assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alterations of entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, due to causes including, but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of SBS which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, SBS reserves the right in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, subject to state regulations.
31. All entries become and remain the property of SBS. Entrants acknowledge that SBS may use the entrants' names and addresses for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes.
32. All details of the entrants will be used and preserved in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles and SBS Privacy Policy. Unless otherwise notified, SBS may use the entries and details of entrants for promotional and publicity purposes. Entrants consent to their full names and/or their entries being used in all media by SBS.
