A 21-year-old country singer from Picton, New South Wales, Missy Lancaster’s fresh sound and genuine style has led to support spots with Australian superstars such as The McClymonts, Troy Cassar-Daley and Adam Harvey.
Lancaster travelled to Nashville, USA in October 2015 to write and record her EP, Missy, with acclaimed songwriter and producer Lindsay Rimes.
The end result was a mix of songs co-written by Lancaster and songs from some of Nashville’s top songwriters.
Originally released independently in January, Missy debuted at number nine on the ARIA Country Album chart.
Now re-released through Sony Music Entertainment Australia, Missy includes the single ‘That’s What I’m Talking About’, an infectious country-pop track that was the number one most played song on the KIX Country Radio network, broadcast to over 40 cities around Australia.
Missy Lancaster will perform at Johnny Ringo’s in Brisbane on 5 August, before appearances at the Gympie Music Muster from 25-27 August.
