Located in the Queensland Museum until 25 April, the exhibit celebrates the world’s largest and most powerful particle accelerator, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC).
Buried deep beneath the border of France and Switzerland, the LRC is responsible for some of the European Organization for Nuclear Research’s most renowned work, including the discovery of the Higgs boson particle in 2012. The LHC is the work of 10,000 men and women from across the globe, united in their quest to uncover the fundamental building blocks of our universe.
Visitors to the exhibit can go behind the scenes at CERN during the discovery of the Higgs boson, encounter objects from the Collider and so much more.
