SSO Principal Cello, Umberto Clerici star in one of the most celebrated and recorded concertos of all time, the Dvořák Cello Concerto in B minor with The Sydney Youth Orchestra, conducted by Alexander Briger AO, one of Australia’s preeminent conductors.
In The Masterworks, Dvořák’s cello concerto will be paired with some of the deepest and darkest music of the 19th century, the unforgettable 4th Symphony of Johannes Brahms.
The Masterworks program would test the emotional and expressive dexterity of any professional seasoned orchestra, but under the superb baton of Briger and with Clerici as soloist, The Sydney Youth Orchestra is sure to inject a new energy into the music that audiences won’t want to miss..
