Brisbane from 6th-8th April to challenge, inspire and educate. Woman of the World Festival is celebrating women of Commonwealth nations, as part of Festival 2018 – the arts and cultural program running alongside the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.

For the first time, WOW Festival will bring together the stories, achievements and challenges of women and girls of the Commonwealth, including those living in regional and remote areas.

WOW Festival highlights stories, achievements and concerns of women, incorporating keynotes, talks, debates, performances, workshops, exhibitions and community-building events.

It’s all about being a catalyst for real change in many areas of women’s lives – politics, relationships, safety, economy, arts, fashion, health, science, business and education.

Speakers and performers include Agnes Titus from the Bougainville Women’s Movement, career diplomat Angela Bogdan, author Annie Zaidi, anti-bullying campaigner Ashleigh Smith, DJ Busty Beatz, netballer Caitlyn Nevins and ABC Regional Editor Cathie Schnitzerling.

ABC Radio Brisbane is giving away 4 x weekend festival double passes as well as 2 x double passes to WOW Festival special events "Hot Brown Honey" and "Songs That Made Me".
