If ‘social responsibility’ is the new black, We Are Cheeky is about to be everyone’s favourite kitchen and homewares brand.
This month, We Are Cheeky – the American-born kids’ mealtime brand that’s fighting child hunger – lands in Australia, with a huge range of products due to hit Woolworths’ shelves and online store from July 25.
We Are Cheeky’s Australian range will consist of over 60 products, including a fun assortment of ceramics, bakeware, glassware, utensils, bar equipment, and baby mealtime products.
But as cute and quirky as their products are, We Are Cheeky’s real point of difference is its partnership with OzHarvest. Since 2004, OzHarvest has fought hard against Australia’s food waste epidemic, helping to rescue food and donate meals to Aussies in need – and We Are Cheeky want to help out, too.
See, We Are Cheeky is all about that tingling feeling you get when you share a meal with the people you love: the feelings, the stories, the fabulous food. They want everyone to know that feeling, which is why they don’t just design products for mealtime – they give meals, too.
A staggering 3.6 million Australians receive food relief every year. Knowing this, We Are Cheeky will donate 10c to OzHarvest every time one of their products are purchased, with a goal to generate over 15,000 meals for Aussies in need within the first month of sale.
