linders Quartet – one of Australia’s outstanding string ensembles – returns to Sydney’s Independent Theatre in July with a program of selected movements from Shostakovich string quartets.
It's the latest in the tasty, Prelude in Tea Series at North Sydney's spectacular Independent Theatre
- and includes the legendary afternoon tea!

Inspired by Wendy Lesser’s book Music for Silenced Voices, Melbourne’s FLINDERS QUARTET
is pushing creative boundaries with its take on a 21st century Shostakovich cycle: surmising Shostakovich’s life through his string quartets in a condensed 80-minute concert program.
