Community members are invited to eat, shop and play local in the Glenelg Shire this Spring and win up to $500!
The Glenelg Shire Council is re-introducing the popular ‘Eat, Shop, Play Local’ competition from 19th September for a four week period to encourage residents to shop local.

Make a purchase of $20.00 AUD or more and enter your receipt with your details...it's that easy!

Service Centre across the shire
One winner will be randomly selected on the Monday following the
weekly closure date each week to receive a $500 gift voucher to a local
Glenelg Shire business/es of their choice. Entries are limited to one per
person/transaction. Weekly draws will take place on the following dates.
TERMS & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:
1.The Promoter is Glenelg Shire Council, ABN, of 48 217 289 490, with the prizemoney.
2.Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Conditions of Entry.
3.Submission of an entry into the promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms.
4.Glenelg Shire Council may, in its discretion, refuse to award any prize to any entrant who fails to comply with these terms.
5.Entry is only open to VICTORIAN residents aged 16 years and older.
6.Entrants aged between 16 and up to but not including 18 years of age must have parental/guardian approval to enter and further, the parent/guardian of the entrant must read and consent to these Terms.
Parents/guardians may be required by the Promoter to enter into a further agreement as evidence of consent to the minor entering this Promotion.
7.Employees of the Glenelg Shire Council’s Senior Executive Team and Economic Development Media Communications teams are ineligible.
8.Glenelg Shire Council reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process or for submitting an entry that is not in accordance with
these Conditions of Entry.
9.The promotion will be run from 9am Monday 19 September 2022 until 5pm Sunday 16 October 2022
10. The prizes must be claimed within 21 days of winners being notified, unless otherwise stated in these terms and conditions. All unclaimed prizes are the property of Glenelg Shire Council.
11. Glenelg Shire Council shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury, which is suffered or sustained, as a
result of taking any of the prizes, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
12. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash unless otherwise specified.
13. If for any reason a winner does not take/redeem a prize (or element of the prize) by the time stipulated by these terms and conditions, then the prize (or element of the prize) will be forfeited.
14. Retailer of purchase must be located within the municipality of the Shire of Glenelg.
15. The purchase receipt must clearly specify the retailer of purchase, the amount of the purchase, the date of the purchase, and that the purchase has been paid for in full, during the Promotion Period specified in
clause number 9.
16. The Promoter’s decision in relation to all aspects of the Promotion is final and binding on every person who enters. No correspondence will be entered into.
17. As a condition of accepting a prize, winners must, at the Promoter’s request, participate in any or all promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding the Promotion.
18. Winners consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any promotional material for an unlimited period, without
remuneration, for the purposes of promoting this promotion (including any out- come) and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter or Sponsor.
19. Glenelg Shire Council may substitute any prize that is unavailable, (for any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter), for another item of equal or greater recommended retail value and/ or
specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.
20. Entries can be submitted by email to
events@glenelg.vic.gov.au or by taking to any of Glenelg Shire Council Customer Service Centers in Portland, Heywood and Casterton.
The competition offers entrants the chance to win a weekly $500 shopping voucher to the local business of their choosing by spending $20 at a local business anywhere in the Glenelg Shire.
Entries are limited to one per person/transaction, and community members can re-enter every week.
