WIN A Relaxing Stay For Two In Paperbark Camp’s Luxe Eco-Friendly Glamping Tents!

When you want to escape Sydney’s hustle and bustle, a trip down south doesn’t go astray. We love Jervis Bay, located just 2.5 hours south of Sydney CBD, renowned for crystal clear waters, white sandy beaches and an emerging foodie scene. With luxury accommodations, fine dining restaurants, breweries, wineries and bushwalks in close proximity, it makes for a plentiful and relaxing weekend away.

For those looking to switch off and be at one with nature, Paperbark Camp is the ideal hideaway nested on Currambene Creek. Founded in 1999 by Jeremy and Irena Hutchings, the pair fell in love with safari camping tents on a visit to Africa and wanted to bring a piece of the calm back to Jervis Bay.

There are 12 canvas safari-style tents to choose from, each placed thoughtfully amongst the eucalyptus and paperbarks. All tents have wrap-around decking with outdoor furniture, polished hardwood floors, solar-powered lighting, high-quality linen and hotel amenities for a luxe camping experience.

To complete your stay, The Gunyah Restaurant is located in a quaint tree house on site serving up breakfast and dinner. Working up a repertoire as one of the best fine-dining restaurants in the area, expect a menu of modern Australian delights with a focus on locally sourced produce and native ingredients.

Jervis Bay Bucket List

We have curated a guide to some of our favourite places to eat, drink and play in Jervis Bay and the surrounding areas. On your way down, make a pit stop at Currarong to hike the secret Gosangs Tunnel and perch up on one of the beaches in the Beecroft Weapons Range (our picks are Honeymoon Bay & Long Beach).

Worked up an appetite? Make your way to Huskisson for a fix of breakfast and lunch staples at 5 Little Pigs. The locals also love Wild Ginger, a wine and cocktail bar serving up inventive Southeast Asian dishes. If you’re keen to sight some animals in the sea, book a trip on Jervis Bay Wild, a breathtaking whale watching and dolphin cruise.

Take a hike in Booderee National Park and of course swim at Hyams Beach, known for its sugar-white sand and crystal clear waters. Not far from here are Jervis Bay Brewing and Flamin Galah Brewing Co, two excellent breweries with have food trucks and live music to keep the whole family entertained.

Should you wish to make your way a little further down south, a trip to Mollymook wouldn’t be complete without visiting Bannisters Pavillion or Rick Stiens. There’s also an incredible Japanese-inspired restaurant and cocktail bar called Gwylo right next door. For an afternoon tipple, head to Cupitt’s Estate, the South Coast’s adored winery with spectacular views of rolling hills.

WIN

In partnership with Paperbark Camp, Camperdown Commons and Pocket City Farms, we are giving away a stay for two in the Deluxe Safari Tent. The perfect romantic escape or getaway for you and a friend, the tent is located amongst the eucalyptus trees featuring an undercover deck with sun loungers, a private open-air ensuite perfect for bird watching and kangaroo spotting while you enjoy a steaming hot shower, and there’s even a freestanding bath.

You will also enjoy a 3-course breakfast and 3-course dinner on your stay. The current spring menu choices include local sourdough with cultured butter, Slow-Cooked Spatchcock with white wine and ras el hanout spice, Barramundi with pea mint ginger, wakame and pickled daikon, Double Fried Dutch Cream Potatoes, Sumac Strawberries with forest fruit sorbet and lemon thyme sponge and Earl Grey Panna Cotta with honey gel and lemon sorbet.

In 25 wol, What's something you can't leave home without when you take a vacation?

All-expenses-paid stay for two at Paperbark Camp, Jervis Bay (NSW) in the Deluxe Safari Tent, plus breakfast and dinner at The Gunyah. (Prize does not include travel.)
