Adore Beauty X PayPal Competition - Conditions of Entry
By entering the Adore Beauty X PayPal competition, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
1. Standard Conditions
1.1 Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these Conditions of Entry. Entry into this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Conditions of Entry.
1.2 The promoter is Adore Beauty Pty Limited of Level 1, 421 High Street, Northcote, VIC 3070 ACN 123 655 783 (‘Promoter’).
1.3 This competition is governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
1.4 This competition is subject to:
1.4.1 these Conditions of Entry;
1.4.2 the Promoter’s customer terms and conditions and website terms and conditions accessible via

1.4.4 a PayPal account which is in good standing at time of purchase (i.e. not limited, closed or otherwise restricted).

2. Eligibility – Who can enter?
2.1 Entry is free and open to Australian permanent residents who are Adore Beauty customers and have meet the selection criteria. You must be 18 years of age or over to enter.
2.2 Employees and immediate family members of the Promoter and suppliers, providers and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether by natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or first cousin.
2.3 Entrants can only enter in their name. The Promoter reserves the right to request proof of residency at the stated address and identification for verification (to the Promoter’s satisfaction in its sole discretion) before issuing the prize. Promoter’s decision to disqualify an entry is final and the Promoter is not required to provide notice of determination to any entrant. No responsibility will be taken for lost, late or misdirected entries.
3. How to enter
3.1 The promotion commences on 6th February 2023 12:00AM (AEDT, Australian Eastern Daylight Time) and concludes on 28th February 2023 at 23:59PM (AEDT) (the ‘Promotion Period’).
3.2 To be eligible to win, entrants must make a purchase from the Promoter of $140 AUD or more using PayPal (or Pay in4) as the payment method during the Promotion Period.
3.3 To enter, complete the sign-up form located on this page, ‘tell us in 25 words or less, What would be your go to makeup look for a runway show and why?' and provide your details during the Promotion Period. Winners will then be judged from valid entries.
3.4 This competition is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining a winning entry. Winning entries will be judged by a panel of three of the Promoter’s employees (‘Judges’) according to their originality and creativity (‘Criteria’). Valid entries are defined in sub-clauses 3.2 and 3.3.
3.5 Judges' decisions are final and no negotiations will be entered into with entrants.
3.6 Incomprehensive and incomplete entries will be deemed invalid.
3.7 Entrants in the competition can enter as many times as they like during the Promotional Period.
4. How to win
4.1 Each eligible entrant who has validly entered the competition over the Promotional Period and registered their details in accordance with clauses 2 and 3 will be entered into the competition.
4.2 Winners will be selected according to the Criteria by the Judges at 10:00AM AEDT on 2 March 2023 at Offices 1-7, 421-423 High Street, Northcote VIC.
4.3 Winners will be notified in writing by email following selection by the Judges (within 48 hours).
4.4 By entering into the competition, each winner agrees that the Promoter may publish their name and entry on adorebeauty.com.au and its social media channels following acceptance of the prize.
5. Prize
5.1 The prize will be given to 50 prize winners (‘Prize Winner’). Each Prize Winner will receive an Adore Beauty gift card valued at $1,000 to be spent on the Adore Beauty website! (‘Prize’).
5.2 The Prizes will be valid for a period of 3 months from the date of issue to the Prize Winner.
5.3 All entrants who do not receive a prize (‘Losing Entrants’)may be awarded an additional prize at the sole discretion of the Promoter. In the event that the Promoter decides to issue an additional prize, all Losing Entrants will be awarded the same prize. In the event that the Promoter decides to issue the Losing Entrants a prize, the Promoter will contact all Losing Entrants via email.
6. Unclaimed prizes
If a Prize remains unclaimed by 10:00 AM AEDT on Friday 10th March 2023, the Prize Winner forfeits the Prize and will be advised in writing. In this event, the Promoter may withdraw the unclaimed Prize, subject to any applicable laws or written directions made under applicable legislation. The Promoter’s decision to withdraw an unclaimed Prize is final and no correspondence will be entered into. No responsibility will be taken for any failure to claim a Prize within the specified period.
7. Liability
7.1 In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency, disaster or any other circumstance beyond the control of the Promoter (including, but not limited to, any travel restrictions or related matters connected with the Covid-19 pandemic), the Promoter reserves the right to, subject to any applicable laws or written directions made under applicable legislation, cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.
7.2 The Promoter will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered or incurred (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the Prize except for any liability, which cannot be excluded by law.
7.3 The Promoter and PayPal will not be responsible for any incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information communicated in the course of or in connection with this promotion if the deficiency is occasioned by any cause outside the Promoter's reasonable control, including without limitation technical malfunctions or failures.
7.4 If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned because of computer malfunction, virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition subject to any written directions under applicable legislation. The Promoter also reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any entrant who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Conditions of Entry, or who has engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the competition. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such offender are reserved.
7.5 The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction or any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participants or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in this promotion.
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 All entries and any copyright subsisting in the entries become and remain the property of the Promoter, and may be subsequently edited and republished. The entrant warrants that they are the sole creator of the entry response and that the entry does not infringe any third party intellectual property rights.
8.2 In accepting the Prize, each Prize Winner agrees to participate and cooperate as required in all marketing activities relating to the competition, including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed plus possible requests to post on social media about any component of the Prize. The Prize Winner grants the Promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and each Prize Winner will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
9. Privacy
9.1 The Promoter collects contact information about entrants in order to conduct the competition and where appropriate award prizes and may also use the information to assist the Promoter in providing goods and services and to contact entrants in the future with special offers via any medium including email and social media. The Promoter may disclose the entrants’ personal information to third parties including its contractors and agents, prize suppliers (including PayPal) and service providers to assist in conducting this Promotion and to the State and Territory lottery departments as required under the relevant lottery legislation. If the entrant does not provide the information, they may be ineligible to enter or claim a Prize in the competition.
9.2 Personal information will be stored on the Promoter’s database. The Promoter may use this information for future marketing purposes regarding its products, including contacting the entrant electronically. The Promoter is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and their privacy policy which is located at

The Promoter’s privacy policy contains information about how the entrant may access, update and seek correction of the personal information the Promoter holds about them and how the entrant may complain about any potential breach by the Promoter of the Australian Privacy Principles or any other Australian privacy laws and how such complaints will be dealt with.
