Obongjayar: Live at RRR
Nigerian-born, London-based Obongjayar joins us on Wednesday 14 June at 7pm, hosted by Samira Farah of The Score.
Rapper and songwriter Obonjayar aka Steven Umoh is an exceptional talent. Since being signed by XL Records off the strength of a Soundcloud track back in 2016, Umoh has forged a path all of his own. His enigmatic sonic palette is a spiritual coalescence of Afrobeat, soul and electronic influences, all weaved together by arresting vocals. Having collaborated with Danny Brown, Sarz and Little Simz, Obonjayar really made his mark as a creative visionary with his 2022 debut LP, Some Nights I Dream of Doors.
