TERMS AND CONDITIONS: READY, SET, RIDE
Your participation in Silks Darwin READY, SET, RIDE promotion ('the Competition') constitutes deemed
acceptance of the following terms and conditions:
1. By entering, you acknowledge that each entrant has an equal chance of winning the prize and the
winner will be drawn by Silks Darwin.
2. The Promoter of the Competition is ‘Silks Darwin’.
3. ‘Silks Darwin’, reserves the right, at any time to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any
entrant who tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry that is not in accordance with
these terms and conditions. Failure by the promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not
constitute a waiver of those rights.
4. The competition is open to members and guests of Silks Darwin.
5. Members and guests are eligible to enter ‘the Competition’ when they spend a minimum of $10 on NT
Keno in the promotion period.
6. The promotion starts 10:00am on 19/4/2023 and ends with the first draw at 7:00pm on Friday, 23 June
2023.
7. Members and guests receive one (1) entry ticket for every $10 spent on NT Keno in the promotion
period, up to $100 in value.
8. A maximum of ten (10) tickets apply per transaction.
9. Entry Ticket/s (maximum 10) will be printed and issued at the time of purchase from an NT Keno
terminal at Silks Darwin.
10. Entry tickets into the competition will not be issued retrospectively.
11. NT Keno tickets must be purchased at Silks Darwin to receive entry ticket/s into the competition.
12. Entries into the competition are issued in ‘good faith’, any entrant deemed to be not acting in ‘good
faith’ will be excluded from the competition.
13. NT Keno is excluded from any liability associated with the competition.
14. It is the entrant’s responsibility to complete entry details and place in barrel.
15. Prize must be claimed by presenting photo ID to Silks reception.
16. $10 is the minimum spend.
17. It is the responsibility of the ticket recipient to complete entry and place in designated barrel.
18. Prizes will be drawn at Silks Darwin on Friday, 23 June 2023 in the following order:
a. 7:00pm, First Prize: Vespa Scooter
b. 7:15pm, Consolation Prize: TV
19. Prizes are issued as is and no responsibility is taking for damaged goods.
20. The winners will be announced in venue and invited to claim prize.
21. If winner is not in venue, they will be contacted via details supplied on the entry ticket and given until
8:00pm Monday 26th June 2023 to claim prize.
22. If winner cannot be contacted for any reason, including (but not limited to) lack of contact details
supplied, there will be a redraw and the process continued until a winner claims prize.
23. Entrants can win more than one (1) prize.
24. The valid entry drawn will win the designated prize.
25. Winning raffle tickets will be randomly drawn from the barrel on the day of the draw. The drawn raffle
ticket will be the winner.
26. There is no replacement of lost winnings.
27. If the entrant loses their ticket, the ticket will not be reissued.
28. Silks Darwin reserves the right to disqualify any entrant reasonably suspected of forgery or tampering.
29. Any staff member employed by The Darwin Turf Club or Silks Darwin are ineligible to enter the
promotion.
30. Entrants must be over 18 years of age or older to be eligible to enter the competition.
31. If this competition is interfered with in any way, or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably
anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoters, the Promoters reserve
the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law:

a. (a) to disqualify any entrant; or
b. (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory (or other appropriate) authority to
modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Competition, as appropriate.
32. The name of the winner may be published and the winner may be asked to participate in any publicity
regarding the competition – including real time social media updates, or images published in local
media outlets.
33. The prize winner agrees that Silks Darwin accepts no responsibility or liability for any delay or failure to
deliver a prize, or failure by Silks Darwin to meet any of its obligations in these conditions of entry or
otherwise where delivery of a prize may be subject to delay. Silks Darwin will notify the winner as soon
as possible and Silks Darwin will use its best endeavours to facilitate delivery as soon as possible.
34. Prizes cannot be returned or exchanged for cash.
35. Silks Darwin (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence) for
any personal injury or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity) whether direct, indirect,
special or consequential, arising in any way out of the competition, including but not limited to:
a. any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the promoter’s
control);
b. any theft, unauthorized access or third-party interference;
c. any entry, prize, or claim for a prize that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected
(whether before or after receipt by the promoters) due to any reason beyond the reasonable
control of the promoters;
d. any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions
