Competition Terms and Conditions
1. These Terms and Conditions apply to the nib “Health Break to Win a $500 Visa e-Gift
Card” Competition (“Competition”). By participating, entrants agree to be bound by
these Terms and Conditions.
2. Entries must comply with these Terms and Conditions to be valid.
3. The Promoter is nib health funds limited ABN 83 000 124 381 of 22 Honeysuckle Drive,
Newcastle NSW 2300. (“Promoter” or “nib”). The Promoter has engaged Richmond
Football Club Limited ABN 25 679 73 340 of Swinburne Centre, Punt Rd, Richmond VIC
3121 to assist in running the Competition (“Richmond FC”).
4. The Competition commences at 9:00am (AEDT) on Monday 13 March 2023 and closes
at 5:00pm on Wednesday 16 August 2023 (AEST) (“Competition Period”).
5. The Competition will take place over 11 rounds (“Competition Rounds”) in the lead up
to a Richmond Football Club home game on the dates set out in the table in section 27
below (“Games”). For each Competition Round, there is a single prize of one (1) $500
Visa e-Gift Card and two (2) Richmond Reserved seat home game tickets (“Prize”) to be
won. The total Prize pool for the Competition is AUD$7,040.
6. For the avoidance of doubt, no flights, travel or accommodation is provided as part of the
Prize.
7. The Competition is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner.
Each entry will be individually judged, based upon creative merit and originality.
Entry requirements
8. Entry into the Competition is open to permanent residents of Australia, who are aged 18
years or older on the date on which they enter the relevant Competition Round (“Eligible
Entrants”).
9. To be eligible to win, Eligible Entrants must:
a. Go to the competition entry form at
https://cloud.au.nib.com.au/tigers-health-break (the “Website”);
b. complete competition question in 50 words or less; and,
c. complete all the required data entry fields in the competition entry form.
10. Eligible Entrants must not be an employee of the Promoter, the Richmond Football Club
or its related entities and must not have any immediate family members who are
employees of the Promoter, the Richmond Football Club or its related entities. Immediate
family means spouse, de facto spouse, child or stepchild (whether natural or by
adoption), parent or stepparent, brother, sister, stepbrother or stepsister.
11. Eligible Entrants may enter the competition in each Competition Round as many times
as they like.
12. Entries will be deemed to be received only when they have been received by the
Promoter.
13. Entrants are responsible for their own costs associated with entering.
14. Entrants who use automatically generated entries or multiple aliases, may be disqualified
from the Competition.

How to enter
15. To enter this Competition, Eligible Entrants must go to the Website, fill in their details,
sign up to nib GreenPass and tell us in 50 words or less: “How do you take a Health
Break?”.
16. Entrants must provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information in the online entry
form.
17. Incomprehensible, illegible, and incomplete entries may be deemed invalid.
18. Competition entries become the property of the Promoter upon submission.
19. Eligible Entrants agree to the Promoter’s use of their feedback in any medium in
connection with this Promotion as well as the Promoter’s future marketing and
communication activities.
Prizes and Determination of winners
20. Only one Prize can be won by an Eligible Entrant during each Competition Round.
21. Prizes must be taken as offered and may not be varied.
22. Entries must be received by the Promotor by 5:00pm (AEDT/AEST) on Wednesday of
each Competition Round.
23. The prize judging for the winning entry (entries) will take place at 12:00pm (AEDT/AEST)
on Thursday of each Competition Round at 22 Honeysuckle Drive, Newcastle NSW
2300. A panel of judges will choose one prize winner (‘Winner”) from all eligible entries
received in the period between the completion of the previous Competition Round and
5:00pm on Wednesday of the week of each new Competition Round. The Winner will be
selected based on the creativity and originality of the response in their submission. The
judges’ decision in relation to any aspect of the Competition will be final and binding on
every person who enters, and no correspondence will be entered.
24. The winner will be contacted by email and/or telephone within 24 hours of the
Competition Round being drawn.

26. The Promoter may draw two additional reserve entries each Competition Round and
record them in order in case a winning entry/entrant is deemed invalid, or a Prize is
unclaimed (“Reserve Entrant/s”). The reserve entries will be selected using the same
method as the original judging, subject to the requirements and/or approval of any
regulatory authority.

27. If the Promoter cannot contact the Winner (or if the Winner does not contact the
Promoter) by 5pm on the last business day prior to a Competition Round game (. i.e.
Friday), their entry will be forfeited. The prize will then be awarded to the first or second
Reserve Entrant selected.
28. The winning Reserve Entrant will be notified by email and/or telephone at 12pm the
following Monday after the Winner has forfeited their entry. No further unclaimed prize
draws will be conducted and entries for that Competition Round will be discarded.
29. The Winner will be sent a virtual gift card within 14 days of the Competition taking place,
once they have confirmed their details and acknowledge that their prize will be sent to
the confirmed email address. The Promoter takes no responsibility for any loss due to
incorrect mailing information being provided.
30. Winners’ names and state of residence will be published on the competition winner’s
website (
https://www.nib.com.au/health-insurance/competition-winners) (“Competition
Website”) at least 3 business days after being notified of their win.
31. If any Prize remains unclaimed at the end of a Competition Round, or if a Prize Winner
cannot be found, that information will be published on the Competition Website.
32. Prizes and all elements of Prizes must be taken as and when offered or will be forfeited,
and if forfeited, the Promoter will not be liable. Prizes are subject to any additional terms
and conditions imposed by the relevant supplier or the Promoter including relevant
validity periods.
33. Where the Promoter, acting reasonably, is of the view that an entrant has breached
these Terms and Conditions, it reserves the right to discard their entry.
34. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entrants (including
an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and may disqualify any entrant or
winner who is not eligible to enter the Competition under these Terms and Conditions or
who fails to verify the validity of their entry or identity in order to claim their prize.
35. The Promoter also reserves the right to disqualify any entrant submitting an entry which,
in the opinion of the Promoter, is incomprehensible, illegible, and incomplete or includes
objectionable content, including but not limited to profanity, nudity, potentially insulting,
scandalous, inflammatory or defamatory images or language. Failure by the Promoter to
enforce its rights at any time does not constitute a waiver of these rights.
36. Each Eligible Entrant acknowledges that:
a. The Prepaid Virtual Visa account can only be used in shopping environments
where a physical card is not required (online, over the phone or mail order). It
cannot be used for face-to-face transactions at merchants, financial institutions or
ATMs. The account cannot be used to make transactions that exceed the
available balance. For such a transaction, you need to pay the difference by
another method if the site or merchant agrees.
b. The preloaded value on the Virtual Prepaid Visa Card will expire as per the expiry
date shared in the email. Once the Virtual Prepaid Visa Card expires any
remaining balance will be forfeited. Balances can be checked at
https://virtualvc.com.au/ .
c. A 2.99% foreign exchange conversion fee applies to transactions in any currency
other than Australian dollars and is calculated on the Australian dollar transaction
amount. This will be included in the total transaction amount debited to the
account.
d. The Virtual Prepaid Visa Card cannot be redeemed for cash, reloaded, returned
for a refund, or be replaced after expiry and is not legal tender, an account card,

e. Any dispute about goods or services purchased with the Virtual Prepaid Visa
Card must be resolved with the retailer. To the extent permitted by law, Edge
Loyalty and the Promoter’s liability is limited to replacing faulty Virtual Prepaid
Visa Cards.
f. The Promoter has no obligation to replace or refund value for misused, lost,
stolen or damaged accounts. You are responsible for all transactions on the
account, except where there has been fraud or negligence by our staff or agents.

h. In order to use the Virtual Visa Voucher, Prepaid Virtual Visa Accounts must be

Voucher will expire six (6) months from date of activation.
i. The Virtual Visa can only be used in shopping environments where a physical card is
not required (online, over the phone or mail order). It cannot be used for face-to-face
transactions at merchants, financial institutions or ATMs. The account cannot be
used to make transactions that exceed the available balance. A transaction that
exceeds the available balance will require you to pay the difference by another
method if the merchant allows and agrees.
j. The account is valid for six (6) months from the date of on-line activation or until the
entire value has been exhausted, whichever occurs first. At expiry, the remaining
available balance will be forfeited.
k. Prepaid Virtual Visa Accounts that have not been activated within two (2) months of
receiving the Prepaid Virtual Visa Voucher, or accounts that expire after the six (6)
month validity period, will not be replaced, extended, or refunded.
l. Virtual Visa gift cards are issued by Heritage Bank, a trading name of Heritage and
People’s Choice Ltd ABN 11 087 651 125, AFSL and Australian Credit Licence
244310, pursuant to a license from Visa Worldwide Pte Ltd.
37. Entrants and winners agree to submit images and/or content of them with their prize if it
is requested by nib in conjunction with promoting the competition. This content will
become the property of the said agents and suppliers for promotional purposes. The
Winner (and Qualifiers) agree to grant the Promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive
license to use competition footage and photographs in all media worldwide, including
online social networking sites, and the Winner will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
38. Winner(s) consent to any comments made being published on the promoter’s website,
social media accounts and marketing materials.
General terms
39. Entrants must not, in relation to this Competition:
a. tamper with the entry process;
b. engage in any conduct that may jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the
Competition;
c. act in a disruptive, annoying, threatening, abusive or harassing manner;
d. do anything that may diminish the good name or reputation of the Promoter or
any of its related entities or of the agencies or companies associated with this
Competition;

e. breach any law; or
f. behave in a way that is otherwise inappropriate.
40. The Promoter is not liable for entries, Prize claims or correspondence that are
misplaced, misdirected, delayed, lost, incomplete, illegible or incorrectly submitted.
41. The Promoter is not liable for any problems with communications networks.
42. The Promoter’s decision in connection with all aspects of this Competition is final.
43. If this Competition cannot run as planned for any reason beyond the Promoter's control,
for example due to software, hardware or communications issues, unauthorised
intervention, tampering, fraud or technical failure, the Promoter may end, change,
suspend or cancel the Competition or disqualify affected entries/entrants, subject to any
necessary approval by the state/territory gaming authorities.
44. The Games may be subject to change by the AFL without notice as a result of
government requirements or other circumstances related to COVID-19. The Promoter
reserves the right to modify or cancel the Competition without notice in the event that a
Game is cancelled, changed or delayed.
45. The Promoter is not responsible for any tax implications arising from entrants winning a
Prize. Entrants should seek independent financial advice. If for GST purposes this
Competition results in any supply being made for nonmonetary consideration, entrants
must follow the Australian Taxation Office’s stated view that where the parties are at
arm’s length, goods and services exchanged are of equal GST inclusive market values.
46. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is
limited to the minimum allowable by law), the Promoter excludes all liability (including
negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of
opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way in
connection with this Competition, including but not limited to:
a. any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the
Promoter's control);
b. any theft, unauthorised access or third-party interference;
c. any tax liability incurred by a winner (independent financial advice should be
sought); or
d. accepting and/or using the Prize.
47. Without limiting the previous paragraph, the Promoter and the agencies and companies
associated with this competition are not liable for any loss of, damage to or delay in
delivery of Prizes. The Promoter is not responsible for any undelivered emails due to an
entrant’s spam filters or email settings.
48. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any persons who breach any of these
Terms and Conditions, provide false information or who seek to gain an unfair advantage
or to manipulate this Competition.
49. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes, modifies or purports to limit,
exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition
and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC
Act or similar consumer protection laws in the State and Territories of Australia.
50. Personal information is being collected by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting
and promoting this Competition, and to assist the Promoter to improve its services. By
entering this Competition, an entrant consents to storage and use of their personal
information by the Promoter in accordance with its Privacy Policy. If the personal
information is not provided, the entrant may not participate in this Competition.
