Competition"
Terms and Conditions
Promoter The promoter is AlburyCBD on behalf of Albury Business Connect, ABN 22
059 035 915, 8/512 Swift Street, Albury NSW 2640 (“ABC”).
Duration The competition commences at 8:00am Friday 1 March 2024
and closes at 11:59pm Friday 22 March 2024 ("the competition period").
Method of entry For businesses
• Businesses register via form on AlburyCBD website

• When registered, business will receive poster with QR Code linking
to the voting form on AlburyCBD website

https://alburycbd.com.au/goldcupvote )
• Businesses must display this poster in their window during the
competition period.
For voters
• Scan the QR code on the poster displayed at participating businesses
to cast a vote.
• Only votes submitted via the form on the AlburyCBD website
(
https://alburycbd.com.au/goldcupvote) will be counted.
Eligibility to Enter For businesses
To participate, businesses must fall within the designated Albury CBD area as
defined by the Promotional Levy Zone (
https://alburycbd.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Promotional_Levy_Zone_Map-1.pdf) and register
their window display on the Albury CBD website

For voters
To vote for a window display, you must be an Australian resident over the
age of 18.
Draw details A total of three (3) prizes will be announced – Judge’s vote on Thursday 14
March 2024, and People’s Choice and Voter on Monday 25 March 2024
For businesses:
People’s Choice award
• The winning business will be determined by popular vote via the
AlburyCBD website (alburycbd.com.au).
• The business with the highest number of popular votes will be the
winner*.
• One vote per person per business. Multiple votes from the same
person will be disqualified.
Judges Vote award
• The winning business will be determined by an independent panel of
judges
• The judges will vote as a collective and select one winner overall
Winning businesses will be notified in person with a photo taken and shared
on the AlburyCBD Facebook and Instagram pages
*In the interest of fairness, one business cannot win both the People’s Choice
and the Judge’s Vote. If the winner of the Judge’s Vote is also the highest vote
in the People’s Choice, the second highest voted winner will be awarded the
People’s Choice award instead.
For voters:
Random draw by a representative of ABC at 8/512 Swift Street Albury NSW
2640. Only voters who voted for the People’s Choice winner will be included
in this draw.
Winner
notification
The winning business will be notified in person on Thursday 14 March
(Judge’s Vote) and Monday 25 March (People’s Choice) and published on the
AlburyCBD Instagram and Facebook pages.
The winning voter will be notified by phone on Monday 25 March and
published on the AlburyCBD Instagram and Facebook pages.

Award of Prizes For businesses:
Judge’s Vote
4 x Trackside Club tickets to Albury Racing Club (~$800 value) will be hand
delivered on Thursday 14 March 2024.
People’s Choice
1 x $600 AlburyCBD Gift Card will be hand delivered on Monday 25 March
2024
For voter:
$100 AlburyCBD Gift Card must be collected from the ABC office at 8/512
Swift Street Albury, NSW 2640.
Unclaimed prizes For business
4 x Trackside Club tickets to Albury Racing Club (~$800 value) must be
accepted by an authorised representative, or their nominated representative
on Wednesday 14 March 2024. If the winning business chooses to not accept
the tickets, the business with the second highest Judge’s score will be
chosen.
For voters
The winner will have 14 days to collect the $100 AlburyCBD Gift Card from
the ABC office at 8/512 Swift Street Albury, NSW 2640. ABC staff will make
reasonable attempts to contact the winner. If the winner is uncontactable or
fails to collect the $100 AlburyCBD Gift Card within the specified time frame,
a new winner will be randomly drawn.
Winners’ consent
for promotion
In the event they are a winner, entrants consent to ABC using their name and
photographs in any media for an unlimited period of time for the purpose of
promoting, publicising or marketing this promotion and promoting any
products and services by ABC.
Indemnity and
disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, entrants agree to release and indemnify ABC
and its agents and employees from and against, all liability, cost, loss or
expense arising out of acceptance of any prize or participation in the
competition including (but not limited to) loss of income, personal injury,
damage to property and whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due
to some negligent act or omission or otherwise.
ABC is not responsible or liable:
• if for any reason beyond ABC's reasonable control any element of
any prize is not provided (and in that case ABC, in its absolute
discretion, may substitute a different prize in place of any prize
referred to in these terms and conditions);
• if, for any reason, the competition is suspended, varied or
terminated at any time, with or without prior warning or publicity;
• for late, lost or misdirected entries; or
• for any change in the value of a prize occurring between the
publishing date and the date the prize is claimed.
All entries become the property of ABC.
ABC has the right to exclude any person from this competition for any reason
whatsoever and to amend these terms and conditions at any time or cancel
the competition, subject to state regulation.
