Following his turn in last year’s THE POPE’S EXORCIST, Russell Crowe returns as a man of the cloth once more, though this time as an actor playing a priest in THE EXORCISM.

What’s more THE EXORCISM also stars Niles from FRASIER (David Hyde Pierce) and is written and directed by Homer the eternal vampire child from NEAR DARK (Joshua John Miller).

Shot as a movie within a movie, THE EXORCISM sees Crowe play Anthony Miller, a troubled actor who is trying to resuscitate his career when he lands the lead role of a priest in a supernatural horror film about an exorcism.

As unsettling events unfold, his “lucky break” takes a dark turn. The director (Adam Goldberg), aiming for authenticity, subjects the struggling actor to humiliating treatment, forcing him to confront past traumas and accelerating his decline. Witnessing his suffering, Anthony’s estranged daughter (Ryan Simpkins) turns to the film’s priest advisor (Pierce) for help. Has the pressure of making the film sent Anthony back to his old addictions, or has it opened a portal to something more sinister?

For your chance to WIN, all you need do is LIKE our Facebook Post or Instagram Post and EMAIL US at competitions@monsterfest.com.au with your possession-based horror film and why.
