Happy belated Snake Day! Did you know that it was World Snake Day on Tuesday? Taronga Zoo Sydney wants to share some snake-tastic fun facts to help dispel myths and misconceptions surrounding these fascinating scaly reptiles.
Snakes come in all sorts of colours, sizes, and patterns, and some can even slither as fast as you run. Snakes are great hunters and help control populations of rodents, insects and other small animals, stopping these populations from over-running the world and causing damage to plants.
You can celebrate World Snake Day every day with a visit to ARC, Taronga Zoo’s exciting new Amphibian and Reptile experience.
Slither in to the fascinating world of these misunderstood creatures. From the noisy rattle of a rattlesnake to the humungous size of pythons, each species plays a crucial role in maintaining ecological balance.
To celebrate World Snake Day and the opening of ARC, the Funday Telegraph has five family passes to give away, for two adults and two children to Taronga Zoo Sydney.
To enter, colour in the picture and then ask your parent or carer to take a photograph and email it to
funday@sundaytelegraph.com.au.
Please put Taronga Zoo ARC in the subject line and fill in the coupon so we can contact you if you are a winner. Entries must be in by Thursday.
