Find your humanity at the Australian premiere of acclaimed Indonesian artist Melati Suryodarmo’s new work, Lapse.
Suryodarmo brings her introspective and politically relevant performance piece, Lapse, to Asia TOPA this March.
Infused with kinetic energy, this show explores our ethical decline, reimagining society’s collapse into chaos and how we can collectively rebuild amidst the chaos of our changing world.
The performance unpacks the lapses in our human connection – between technology, politics and natural disasters, we are all experiencing collective lapses in judgement, compassion, and shared humanity.
Through captivating dance, absurd imagery, and live music, Lapse delves into these themes and offers a bold window into how we can co-exist within this cacophony of chaos.
