Selection & Notification

1. General
This competition is conducted by Sailing Whitsundays under The Travel Shop company (license number 3178713) (“the Promoter”).
Information on entry, prizes, and procedures forms part of these Terms and Conditions. Entry into the competition constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
This is a non-acquisitive competition. All communications, including any emails sent post-entry, are subject to these Terms and Conditions.
The Promoter reserves the right to amend, cancel, or suspend the competition at any time. Any individual tampering with the entry process or breaching these Terms may be disqualified.
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, TikTok, or Meta Platforms.
2. Who Can Enter?
The competition is open to individuals who:
Hold a valid Instagram and/or TikTok account
Are over 18 years of age
Employees, agents, or representatives of the Promoter (or their immediate families) are not eligible.
3. How to Enter
Entries will be accepted between the 7th of April 2025 until the 20th of April 2025 from the official Instagram and TikTok posts (AEST).

Platform Limitations & Compliance: Participants must adhere to both these competition rules and the respective platform guidelines. The Promoter is not responsible for any discrepancies due to technical issues or platform-specific policies.
Verification Process: All entries will be verified. Only entries that fully meet the outlined requirements (including having a public profile for bonus entries) will be deemed valid.
4. Submission Guidelines
Each entry must be submitted via a genuine, personal Instagram or TikTok account.
Fake, spam, or robot accounts are strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification.
All information provided must be accurate and true.
The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entry that breaches these Terms or is otherwise inappropriate.
5. Deliberation
Winner(s) will be chosen on the date specified in the official posts (AEST), which is Tuesday 22nd of April 2025 (AEST). The Promoter reserves the complete discretion to select the winner(s).
There will be no correspondence between entrants and the Promoter regarding the selection process.
All decisions made by the Promoter are final.
6. Prizes
The winner will receive the prize as outlined in the official post: a family day trip to Whitsunday Island aboard the Whitsunday Bullet, which includes:
Two adult tickets (14 years+)
Two child tickets (2 - 14 years)
Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
Sailing Whitsundays reserves the right to select the operators and specific tour details within this package according to availability, at its sole discretion.
The prize is exclusively for the winner and any selected guest(s); tours are not transferable.
Generally, the prize package is valid for travel within 12 months of the winner announcement (excluding travel on public holidays); however, validity for some prizes may be subject to supplier timeframes.
All prizes, tours, and stays are subject to supplier terms and conditions, which operate separately from Sailing Whitsundays. Winners are responsible for reading and understanding these conditions.
If the winner chooses to travel during high season, they may be required to upgrade their tour at an additional cost, determined solely by Sailing Whitsundays and its suppliers.
The winner will be contacted within a reasonable time after the competition closes, via a direct message from the official Instagram account. Sailing Whitsundays is not responsible for any losses due to communication issues or scammers.
Sailing Whitsundays is not responsible if the winner is unable to claim their prize due to lack of access to their account or any other reason; in such cases, the prize is forfeited.
The winner is responsible for providing correct and complete details for their tickets.
All decisions regarding prize experiences by the Promoter are final.
Any prize recipient found by the Promoter to have breached these Terms must return the awarded prize within 30 days of a request, with the Promoter having the final say on its disposition.
The Promoter is not responsible for any costs associated with winning or the delivery of prizes unless otherwise stated.
With the exception of cash prizes, prizes are not transferable or exchangeable; vouchers must be fulfilled under the providers’ terms, and prizes will be sent to the winner’s nominated address (Australia only).
The Promoter is not responsible for any additional or lost costs related to the tours, including (but not limited to) flights, extra transport, travel insurance, lost/damaged luggage, accommodation, medical expenses, food, and drinks.
The Promoter strongly recommends that the winner obtains travel insurance for the duration of their trip; the Promoter is not responsible for any losses due to cancellations or weather events.
Participants are advised to be cautious of fake profiles. The official Instagram/TikTok account (@sailingwhitsundays) is the only channel from which the winner will be contacted. The Promoter will not contact winners via email until confirmed through Instagram/TikTok. Beware of fake emails.
