To celebrate the DVD release of the first season of the supernatural drama series Sanctuary: A Witch’s Tale — arriving in Australia on January 14 via Madman Entertainment — we’re giving away copies!

Set in an outwardly idyllic English coastal town where witches have quietly coexisted with ordinary residents for centuries, Sanctuary: A Witch’s Tale blends small-town mystery with simmering supernatural tension. When the unexplained death of a local rugby star rattles the community, long-buried suspicions begin to surface — and the fragile peace between neighbours starts to fracture.

At the centre of the story is Sarah Fenn (Elaine Cassidy), a practising witch who uses her abilities to heal and support those around her. Her teenage daughter Harper (Hazel Doupe) hasn’t inherited the family’s magic, but when Harper’s boyfriend Dan — the town’s golden boy and the son of Sarah’s closest friend — dies in suspicious circumstances, rumours quickly spread that witchcraft is to blame. Fingers point toward both mother and daughter, igniting a modern-day witch hunt that threatens to tear the town apart.

The investigation draws in DCI Maggie Knight (Stephanie Levi-John), a determined detective tasked with untangling superstition from evidence, while grieving mother Abigail Whithall (Amy De Bhrún) becomes a powerful catalyst for the rising paranoia. Valerie O’Connor also stars as Bridget Paterson, rounding out the tightly woven ensemble.

Created and written by Debbie Horsfield, the series is based on V.V. James’ 2020 novel Sanctuary: A Novel of Suspense, Witchcraft, and Small Town Secrets. Scroll down to enter!

We have 10 DVD copies up for grabs. For your chance to win a copy, tell us in 25 words or less: What would you do if rumours of witchcraft started spreading in your community?
