These Terms & Conditions of Entry contain important information you need to know about your entry and the Promotion generally. Make sure you read these Terms & Conditions of Entry carefully.
Information about how to enter and the prizes form part of these Terms & Conditions of Entry. If you choose to participate in this Promotion, then you agree that these Terms & Conditions of Entry apply to your entry.

The Promotion starts at 12:01am AEDT on 18/03/2026 and closes 11:59pm AEST on 14/04/2026 (Promotion Period). No entries will be accepted after this time.

WHO CAN ENTER
Entry is open to Australian residents aged 16 years or older as at the commencement of the Promotion. If you are under 18 years of age, you must have permission from your parent or guardian to enter and if you win, the prize may be awarded to your parent/guardian (Eligible Entrant).
Employees of our company and its subsidiaries (and their immediate families) and the employees of any agencies associated with this Promotion are ineligible to enter. When we say ‘immediate families’ we mean spouse (whether married or defacto), child, parent, grandparent, uncle, aunt, sibling, niece, nephew or cousin.
If there is a dispute as to the identity of an Eligible Entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the Eligible Entrant.
HOW TO ENTER

To enter the Promotion, Eligible Entrants must (after making their Qualifying Transaction) undertake the following steps during the Promotion Period:
● Scan the QR code (which can be found on promotional materials in Participating Retailers) or visit online.
● Follow the prompts to the entry page;
● Input the requested details including full name, mobile phone number and valid
email address;
● Select their preference of Gift Card from the choice of either Bunnings or JB HiFi;
● Upload a scanned copy or photo of the purchase receipt clearly showing that a
Qualifying Transaction was made during the Promotion Period; and
● Submit the fully completed online entry form.
Eligible Entrants may enter multiple times provided each entry is submitted separately in accordance with the entry instructions above, subject to the following:
(a) a maximum of one (1) entry is permitted per Qualifying Transaction regardless of the number of Participating Products purchased in that transaction;
(b) a maximum of three (3) entries (based on Eligible Entrant’s mobile number) can be submitted per person per day; and
(c) each entry must be submitted separately and in accordance with entry requirements.
Proof of Purchase: All Eligible Entrants must retain a copy of their purchase receipt/s for each Qualifying Transaction. Entries must be received during the Promotion Period and in accordance with these Terms & Conditions of Entry. Entries will not be accepted in any other way or form or at any other time. Your entry is deemed to have been received when we actually receive it (not when you send it). Incomplete and ineligible entries will be deemed invalid. We’ll also invalidate any entry which we consider, in our sole discretion, breaches these Terms & Conditions of Entry or any other content guidelines published by us as part of the entry process for the Promotion. Once submitted, you cannot alter or delete your entry.
The first valid entry drawn from each Daily Draw (defined below) will win a $1,000 JB Hi-Fi Gift Card OR a $1,000 Bunnings Gift Card, depending on the winner’s preference as indicated at the time of entry (Major Prize).
The second valid entry drawn from each Daily Draw (defined below) will win a $100 Digital Vault Prepaid Mastercard (Minor Prize). Digital Vault Prepaid Mastercard:
Any ancillary costs associated with redeeming the Digital Vault Prepaid Mastercard (“the Card”) are not included. The Card must be activated within 2 months of issue and is valid for 12 months after activation. At expiry of the Card any unused balance will be forfeited. Eligible Customers will not receive notice prior to expiry. Card expiry and balance can be found on your mobile device in their digital wallet. The Card is issued by EML Payment Solutions Limited ABN 30 131 436 532 AFSL 404131 (“EML”) and distributed by Vault Payment Solutions Group Pty Ltd, ABN 66 632 373 105 (“Vault”).
Major and Minor Prizes (collectively Prizes) are limited to one (1) per person, save in respect of Eligible Entrants residing in South Australia, who will be eligible to win one (1) Prize per entry.
If a Prize winner is under 18 years of age, the Prize will be awarded to the winner's nominated parent or guardian on the winner’s behalf.
In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency, pandemic or any other kind of disaster or unforeseeable event beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion or suspend, substitute or modify a Prize, subject to any written directions from a relevant regulatory authority.
WINNER SELECTION & NOTIFICATION
Prizes, or any unused portion of a Prize, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other form of consideration, unless otherwise specified. The value of each Prize is accurate as at the time of preparation of these Terms & Conditions of Entry. We accept no responsibility for any variation in the value of a Prize after that date. If a Prize is unavailable for any reason, we may substitute it for another item of equal or higher value, subject to any written directions of a regulatory authority.
Any ancillary costs associated with redeeming the gift cards are not included. Any unused balance of the gift cards will not be awarded as cash. Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clause, if a winner does not take their Prize by 11:59pm AEST on 13/05/2026, then the Prize will be forfeited by the winner and neither cash nor any other form of compensation will be supplied in lieu of that element of the Prize. We accept no other liability or responsibility for any loss incurred by a winner or any other party if any Prize is unavailable for any reason.
The total Prize pool is $30,800.
There will be one (1) draw conducted for the entries received each day of the Promotion Period, for a total of twenty-eight (28) draws (Daily Draws). Subject to the starting and closing time of the Promotion Period, entries into each Daily Draw will open at 12:00am and close at 11:59pm each day based on AEDT/AEST local time.
Each Daily Draw will be conducted at X Collective 51A / 23 Norton St, Leichhardt NSW 2040 at 11:00am AEDT/AEST on a weekly basis and as outlined in the table below Entries in each Daily Draw will NOT be entered into any subsequent Daily Draws. For clarity, there will be one (1) draw conducted for entries received each day of the promotion, however, Daily Draws will be conducted on a weekly basis.

If you are a Prize winner and do not accept or claim your Prize by this date, then your entry will be deemed invalid. An unclaimed prize draw (if required) will be held at the same address as the original draw on 18/05/2026 at 11:00am AEST, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. Winners of any unclaimed prizes will be notified in writing within two (2) business days of the draw and their details (first initial, last name and postcode) will be published on newsunrisewins.com.au on 21/05/2026.
Winners of the unclaimed prize draw, if any, must claim their prize by 11:59pm AEDT on 13/06/2026.
To claim your Prize, you must follow the instructions set out in the notification message we send to you telling you that you’re a provisional winner. This includes providing verification information regarding your entry (including providing receipts of purchase), if requested by us. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you, but if you’ve not claimed your Prize by the Prize claim date specified above, or we determine that your entry is not in accordance with these Terms & Conditions of Entry, then your entry will be declared invalid, and we may award the Prize to the next complete and eligible entry drawn.
PRIZE DELIVERY
Once an Eligible Entrant is deemed valid by the Promoter to have complied with these Terms and Conditions of Entry, the Promoter will declare them a winner and will deliver the relevant Prize no later than 28 days of the winner’s entry being verified and accepted.
The Promoter takes no responsibility for an incorrect email, mobile number or physical address being provided when entering the Promotion or during the verification process, and once dispatched the Promoter is not liable for any Prize that has been lost, stolen, damaged or tampered with in any way.
GENERAL
1. Prizes must be taken as specified, as and when offered and cannot be altered or changed in any way by the winner or will be forfeited, and if forfeited the Promoter will not be liable. If the winner forfeits a Prize for whatever reason, the winner will not be given cash or any alternative prize as a substitute.
2. We accept no responsibility for any problems or technical malfunction of any communication network or for any late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible, corrupted or misdirected entries, claims or correspondence whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, deletion, theft, destruction, transmission interruption, communications failure or otherwise. We have no control over telephone communications, social media functionality, social media owners, networks or lines and accepts no responsibility for any problems associated with them, whether due to traffic congestion, technical malfunction or otherwise. We are not liable for any consequences of user error including (without limitation) any costs incurred.
3. Eligible Entrants must keep their proof of purchase, as specified above for each entry as proof of purchase (Proof of Purchase). If an Eligible Entrant fails to produce the Proof of Purchase for a specific entry or each entry, as and when requested by the Promoter, the Promoter has the right to invalidate the Eligible Entrant’s respective entry/entries for which Proof of Purchase cannot be provided and/or all entries submitted by that Eligible Entrant and/or forfeit the Eligible Entrant’s right to a Prize. Purchase receipt(s) must clearly specify: (a) the store of purchase as a Participating Retailer; (b) the required product/s or service/s to be purchased for entry; and (c) that the purchase was made during the Promotion Period and prior to entry.
4. We may declare any or all of your entries invalid, and prohibit your further participation in this Promotion, if you:
(i) fail to verify your personal details and/or eligibility to enter the Promotion to our satisfaction;
(ii) tamper with or benefit from any tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Promotion;
(iii) submit an entry which in our opinion is not in accordance with these Terms & Conditions of Entry;
(iv) act in a disruptive manner or with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person; or
(v) engage in conduct in entering the Promotion which in our opinion is unfair or in bad faith, fraudulent, misleading, deceptive, unlawful, wrongful, or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the Promotion and/or us or any P rize provider. This includes where you share receipts or product labels to enter the Promotion or where you use multiple names or addresses to register multiple entries.
5. If requested by us, Eligible Entrants and winners must participate in all promotional activity (such as publicity and photography) surrounding this Promotion or their winning of a Prize, free of charge, and they consent to us and our associated companies and agencies using their name and image in promotional material.
6. If for any reason any aspect of this Promotion does not or is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any cause beyond our control which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion, then we may cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion, or invalidate any affected entries (subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority).
7. Our decisions in connection with the Promotion are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
8. Any guarantee or warranty given is in addition to any relevant statutory guarantees and warranties and nothing in these Terms and Conditions of Entry restricts, excludes or modifies or purports to restrict, exclude or modify any statutory consumer rights under any applicable law including the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth). We and our associated agencies and companies, and the agencies and companies associated with this Promotion, will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this Promotion or accepting or using a Prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the maximum extent allowable by law).
9. We and our associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any damage to or delay in transit of Prizes.
10. We accept no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from a Prize. Independent financial advice should be sought. Where the operation of this Promotion results in, for GST purposes, supplies being made for non-monetary consideration, you agree to follow the Australian Taxation Office’s stated view that where the parties are at arm’s length, goods and services exchanged are of equal GST inclusive market values.
11. Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the Eligible Entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.
12. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an Eligible Entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that Eligible Entrant invalid.
13. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of these rights. The Promoter's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
14. We collect personal information in order to conduct the Promotion and may disclose such information to third parties (including agents, contractors, service providers and Prize suppliers) for that purpose. Any part of these Terms & Conditions of Entry which are void or not enforceable by law will be automatically severed from these Terms & Conditions of Entry, where possible, to ensure that the remaining provisions of the Terms & Conditions of Entry remain in effect. We may vary these Terms & Conditions of Entry from time to time as required for compliance with law or for the purposes of correcting any error or omission. As such, it is the responsibility of every Eligible Entrant to ensure that they review these Terms & Conditions of Entry at the time of entry and all other material times.
16. These Terms & Conditions of Entry will be governed by and must be construed in accordance with the laws of VIC, Australia, and each of the relevant State/Territory.
