A genius heist. Three unlikely senior suspects. In 1986, Picasso’s Weeping Woman was stolen from the National Gallery of Victoria. The culprits were never found. This is what might have happened. As Phoebe approaches 70, retirement has lost its shine. An evening art class introduces her to fellow retirees, Eva and Dave, and places them directly across the road from a $2 million Picasso. But when government arts cuts threaten to shut the school down, the voices of younger activists are ignored. So Phoebe, Eva and Dave decide to take matters into their own hands with a plan that’s bold, brilliant, and far more dangerous than any of them expect.
