Competition Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to the Fraser Coast Tourism & Events competition. The odds of winning the prize depends on the number of entries made via the competition form during the Competition Period, where the user opts into the competition by accepting these terms and conditions.

Eligibility: The Whale Watching Giveaway (“Competition”) is open to individuals who are legal residents of Australia and are at least 18 years old as of the date of entry.
Entry Period: The Competition begins on 4 June 2026 and ends on 30 June 2026 at 11:59 PM AEST. Entries received outside the Entry Period will not be considered.
How to Enter: To enter the Competition, participants must click on the provided link and complete the official entry form. Only one entry per person/email will be accepted.
Prizes: There will be 3 prize winners selected. The winners will be chosen at random from all eligible entries. The prizes are as follows:

Winner Selection: The prize winners will be selected by random draw [using online random selection software] on 1 July 2026, and will be notified via email within three (3) days after the draw. The winners must respond to the notification within seven (7) days to claim the prize. Failure to respond within this period may result in forfeiture of the prize. Unsuccessful entrants of the Competition will not be individually notified that they have been unsuccessful in the Competition.
Claiming the Prize: The winners will be provided with relevant voucher/s for their experiences with details on how to redeem their prize/s.  The prize is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other alternatives. Please see more detail about this in the next section.
Additional Expenses: Any additional expenses, such as travel, accommodation, meals, and personal expenses, are the sole responsibility of the winners. Return flights are only include in Prize 1 with return flights only available from Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. All other travel e.g. from interstate, travel to airports etc. is at the sole responsibility of the winners. No transfers are included except for what is stated in the prize.
Release and Publicity: By accepting the prize, the winners grant Fraser Coast Tourism & Events the right to use their names for promotional purposes in relation to the prize draw on Visit Fraser Coast’s social media account.
General Conditions: Fraser Coast Tourism & Events reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Competition if any fraud, technical failures, or any other factors beyond their control impair the integrity of the Competition. The decisions of Fraser Coast Tourism & Events regarding the Competition are final and binding in all respects.
Privacy: Any personal information collected during the entry process will be used for the administering the competition and subsequent marketing delivered by Fraser Coast Tourism and Events. Your data will not be shared with third parties without the consent of the participants.
Email Marketing: By entering the Competition, you consent:
a. Your name and email address will be added to the Fraser Coast Tourism & Events marketing database and shared with our participating partners (Kingfisher Bay Resort, Tasman Venture, White Crest Luxury Apartments, Hervey Bay Whale Watch Quick Cat II, Hervey Bay Boat Club, Hervey’s, Whalesong Cruises Hervey Bay, Pacific Whale Foundation Eco Adventures, Blue Dolphine Marine Tours, Sanctuary Lakes Fauna Retreat)
b. for Fraser Coast Tourism & Events to provide your full name, date of birth, address, contact phone number, email address and any other applicable information to the Suppliers if you are named as the Competition winner.
