Cheersquad Records Party with The Stems (Corner 30th Birthday)
The Stems are one of Australia's most influential garage rock bands, roaring out of Perth in the mid-'80s with a sound that captured the raw spirit of '60s garage punk, fuzzed-out guitars and timeless power pop.
Their classic debut album At First Sight, Violets Are Blue (1987) is widely regarded as one of the great Australian records of its era, earning national and international acclaim and later being named by Rolling Stone among the Top 100 Australian Albums of All Time. Since reforming in the early 2000s, The Stems have continued to build a reputation for electrifying live performances while remaining as vital and influential today as ever.
The Stems play on Saturday 3rd October at the Corner Hotel (as part of their 30th Birthday celebrations)
Plus, they'll be joined by The Johnnys
Heir To The Squandered Millions
Benny J Ward
& Bagful of Beez
