First Aid Guidewin a St John Apply First-Aid Course 1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these conditions. Entries must comply with these conditions to be valid.
2. Entry is open to residents of Australia aged 18 years or older who fulfill entry requirements as dictated in clause 3. Employees and their immediate families of News Magazines and its agencies associated with this competition are not eligible to enter.
3. To enter:
1. Participants must first purchase any one of the products featured in the Woolworths Australian Good Taste Magazine First Aid Guide from Woolworths or Safeway stores during the promotion period.
2. Answer the following question in 25 words or less “what you think is a vital first-aid product and why.” 3. Send their answer along with their full name, address, daytime contact number and a copy of their receipt or barcode on the back of an envelope to: Woolworths Australian Good Taste/First Aid Competition PO Box 542, Eastern Suburbs NSW 2004.
4. Or visit www.goodtastepromotions.com.au and follow the on-screen instructions to enter. 4. The competition commences at 00.01 (AEDT) on12:01am (AEDT) Monday 24th January 2011 and closes 11.59 pm (AEDT) on Tuesday 22nd February 2011or last mail received on 22/02/2011. (“Promotional Period”).
5. Entries must be received by the Promoter during the Promotional Period. Entries received after the close date will not count towards the competition.
6. Multiple entries are accepted, however there is only one entry per eligible purchase and each entry must be sent in as a separate correspondence with a separate copy of a receipt or barcode. 7. This competition is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winners. All entries will be judged individually on their merits based on originality and creativity. The best entries, as determined by the judges, will win a prize.
8. Judging will take place from 3:00pm (AEDT) on 25th February 2011 at Salmat Interactive Level 1, 116 Miller Street, NSW 2060. Entries will be judged by a panel of judges. Winners will be notified by mail once the judging has been completed and published on
www.goodtastepromotions.com.au/winners and in The Australian on 4th March 2011.
9. There are a total of 14 prizes to be won.
10. The entry judged to be the best will win a St John Apply First-Aid (Senior First Aid) Course valued at $175 and $500 cash, the next 13 entries judge to be winners will win a St John Apply First-Aid (Senior First Aid) Courses valued at $175 each
11. The total prize pool is valued at $2,950.00
12. Prizes are not transferable and are not redeemable for cash. The judges’ decision is final and binding - no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries or other communications. Entries will be deemed void if forged, manipulated or tampered with in any way.
13. In the event that a participating product that is required to be purchased becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s control, entries must have a valid purchase receipt for other participating products.
14. In the event that any prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
15. Entry details remain the property of the Promoter. The name and photograph of the winner may be used for promotional purposes by the Promoter, unless the winner otherwise notifies the Promoter at the time of accepting the prize.
16. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered or sustained (even if caused by negligence) as a result of entering this competition, accepting and/or using a prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
17. The Promoter reserves the right to request verification of age, identity, residential address of winners and any other information relevant to entry into or participation in this promotion. Verification is at the discretion of the Promoter, whose decision is final. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual who is involved in any way in interfering or tampering with the conduct of this promotion.
18. Entrants confirm and promise that their entry is original and does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.
19. In the event of a promoter other than News Magazines canceling any event related to this prize, News Magazines cannot be held responsible.
20. The winner agrees to participate in any news media activities surrounding the promotion such as photographic shoots and interviews.
21. Once the prize has left the Promoters premises, the Promoter is not responsible for late or damage sustained during the delivery of the prize. It is the sole responsibility of the entrant to advise the Promoter of any change of details.
22. News Magazines collects entrant’s information to include them in this competition and will disclose the information to others who help run the competition. News Magazines may also use the information to assist in improving goods and services and to contact the entrant in the future in regard to other goods and services. News Magazines may share entrant’s information with other persons or entities that assist in performing the above or with another company which provides prizes for the competition.
