Thanks for the book title - which does equate to "no room to move", which is no help whatsoever really   Confused  Was the guy in the book a rock climber? If so, I agree could point towards Canadian Rockies.

I agree with Canada - white water rafting vest  and the song give these clues.

Can anyone read the title on the book?

I cannot think of anything for Clue no. 4

"Between a Rock and a Hard Place" - the story behind 127 Hours movie - occurred in Utah (USA)

see here for bigger pic:

http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=145072135574830&set=pu.125521644196546&type=1&theater

They want somewhere closer in than country-level and I think NOT USA given God Save The Queen

Maybe it's the Canadian Rocky Mountains???

Banff?

I assumed Clue 1 has to have something to do with Britain yeh?
Or i could be looking at it completely wrong!

So did I at first, but God Save the Queen is the national anthem, or the Queens is Head of State, for many countries
I assumed Clue 1 has to have something to do with Britain yeh?
Or i could be looking at it completely wrong!

Clue#1:"When AT travelled to our first mystery destination we.... sang a rolling chorus of God Save the Queen."

CLUE #2! "When AT travelled to our first mystery prize destination we packed the following in our Cube Alpha suitcase..."

CLUE #3: "When AT travelled to our first mystery destination we had THIS song on repeat. http://bit.ly/oWrJY0

CLUE #4: "When AT travelled to our first mystery prize destination we had no room to move!"

So, any thoughts?  I thought Clue 1, 2,3 were consistent with Canada, and Toronto in particular (see lyrics of the song) but I cannot interpret Clue 4.

Anyone else working on this?

Youtube clip of song Informer by Snow - Could not understand a word ,
so I found this link with the song lyrics  . http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/snow/informer.html

There are two references to Toronto
It mentions Etobicoke (located in greater Toronto area) and again Toronto- Ontario Canada (East coast)

*BONUS CLUE* Ok super slueths we love a good suspense & no one does it better than Hitchcock, in fact we just finished watching White Shadow

The above clue was on AT's Twitter account.   "White Shadow" is an odd choice; it has only just been discovered in New Zealand (well 30 minutes of it have) having been presumed lost forever.  It has NOT been shown and is not expected to be until September.

I was leaning towards Canada, Toronto and after this last "pigs in mud" I'm wondering whether they were refering to the plane that slid off the runway at Toronto's airport into the mud?

American Tourister Australia
Look over there...!! It's CLUE #7! "Is it an animal, vegetable or mineral. Or is it a fruit??"

I'm not convince that the clues are all that "clever".  I had been leaning towards New Zealand and I think "Kiwi" might suit for Clue 7.  Also would suit for God Save The Queen, winter clothing clues ets.  But my main reason is the Hitchcock film clue, which had only just been rediscovered in the NZ Film Archive (in Wellignton).

CLUE #6:

"When AT travelled to our first mystery destination we saw ALL these things; a comedy, the Sabbath, an eye, a little dress and smith."

This has got to have something to do with "BLACK" as all of these words can be preceded with the word "BLACK". Given these are "ALL BLACKS" then I'd say this is definitely NZ.

Another clue is the prize amount - for the first prize that we are trying to guess it is $9500. This is a bit pricey for New Zealand but I guess if you went skiing or doing adventure stuff in Queenstown it could start adding up.

The next prize value is only $4600 - must be Bali or Fiji to only be that amount.

Hey, do we know for sure that we are looking for a specific Town/City etc? Could the destination just be a country?

E.g the Pigs in Mud clue - Rotorua
Yes, NZ has snow, white water rafting, kiwi fruit and the All Blacks. All the clues don't seem to point to a specific city/town rather just a country. Or do you think we have to wait for more clues to narrow it down, given there are still days left to enter?

No, but it has mud pools. I was thinking the clues were pointing to a country rather than a specific town. Does the destination need to be a town?  or just a country?

Could clue 5 'White Shadow was found in NZ' possibly be referring to New Zealand's Maori name (Aotearoa) meaning Land of the Long White Cloud?

CLue 4 originally stated :CLUE #4: "When AT travelled to our first mystery prize destination we had no room to move!"

But in the sumamry on the FB page is now states:

CLUE 4

When AT travelled to our first mystery prize destination we felt like the walls were closing in!

Clealry similar but maybe "walls closing in" helps someone figure this clue out?

Rotorua means "second lake"

Queenstown is also situated on a lake - and fly fishing is quite popular around Queenstown - so I'd say this could go either way.

Queenstown has quite a vibrant nightlife - so maybe this is referring to that?

I hesitate to suggest it but when you search "closing" in you do get references to earthquakes and claustrophobia. So I am certain all clues point to New Zealand.

You need to submit a specific destination not a country. I put "Queenstown, New Zealand". I suspect "Queenstown" would be OK as well as this is not ambiguous.

American Tourister Australia
Hey peeps - SECOND LAST CLUE - feeling fine #9. "When AT travelled to our first mystery destination we saw something unusual in town....."

I think the clues are a bit lame rather than anything clever.  Clearly this is the Queen, maybe serving fish and chips as a lame gag on the NZ pronunciation of "fush and chups".

Anyway, I think we are agreed that the answer is Queenstown, that is what I have entered.

Four times per household - so don't bother trying to enter your spouse four times as well

Here are their explanation of each of their clues:

http://americantourister.com.au/press-office/

You want answers; we got answers… plenty of them! We’ve outlined below how we came up with each clue to get to our mystery prize destination QUEENSTOWN. Over the last two weeks we saw two different types of clues appear; those that pointed to the specific destination of Queenstown, and others that made reference to its country of New Zealand, to get us all heading in the right direction. Some clues combined hints to both!

CLUE 1: When AT travelled to our first mystery prize destination we…sang a rolling chorus of God Save the Queen

It has the word “Queen” in it. You initially thought London didn’t you?! Cryptic, we know…

Clue 2: When AT travelled to our first mystery prize destination we packed this in our Cube Alpha suitcase:

We’d need all of this in our AT Cube Alpha suitcase to ensure we could do the following:

Hike, ski, protect our peepers from the glare of the snow, drink some delish NZ Sav Blancs, get inspired (or terrified) to do some hardcore adventure sports reading Aron Ralston’s book, go white-water rafting and take snaps of the awe-inspiring snow-capped mountains.

Clue 3: When AT travelled to our first mystery prize destination we had the song Informer by Snow on repeat.

Who could forget the sweet lyrics of ‘90’s rapper Snow. His name is a great indication of what you’d you’s see in Queenstown. And heaps of it…

Clue 4: When AT travelled to our first mystery prize destination we felt like the walls were closing in!

You usually feel this way when the room is crowded, or the house is crowded… making it a Crowded House – classic band led by New Zealander Neil Finn.

Clue 5: When AT travelled to our first mystery prize destination we were happy as…

Happy as a “pig in mud”. NZ is famous for their mud baths and pools. There’s no way you can holiday there and not come out dirty… albeit relaxed.

Clue 6: When AT travelled to our first mystery destination we saw ALL these things; a comedy, the Sabbath, an eye, a little dress and smith.

A BLACK comedy
The BLACK Sabbath
BLACK eye
Little BLACK dress
BLACKsmith
What do they all have in common? No they’re not all part of our standard Saturday nights. They’re ALL BLACK… The All Blacks are NZ’s rugby team. They also do a mean Haka.

Clue 7: Is it an animal, vegetable or mineral. Or is it a fruit??

Animal or fruit? Or both? Kiwi Birds are one of New Zealand’s native animals. They are also delicious! The fruit-type that is… (*stop dialling RSPCA*).

Clue 8: When we travelled to our first mystery destination Jack, Jill and AT went up a REMARKABLE hill…

Jack and Jill didn’t just climb any hill, they climbed a REMARKABLE hill. The Remarkables is a mountain range in NZ and only 40 minutes out from Queenstown – awesome for all you skiers out there!

Clue 9: When AT travelled to our first mystery destination we saw something unusual in town…..

Not many people can say the Queen has made them dinner… actually with nearly 150 servants we don’t think she has actually ever cooked dinner. Needless to say it would surely be unusual to see Queen Elizabeth II frying up Friday night’s “fush n’ chups” (for those playing at home, that’s “fish n’ chips” in New Zealand). One of NZ’s fave cuisines, cooked by “the Queen” brings us to Queenstown, NZ.

Clue 10: When AT travelled to our first mystery prize destination we Facebook “checked-in” to:

Mmmmmmmm Ferburger. If these guys delivered to Oz we’d be submitting orders daily! If you Googled Fergburger you would have seen that they sell the best burgers… in where else but Queenstown!!

All sounds pretty easy when we put it this way doesn’t it? Now that you see our logic no doubt you will all be onto us for the next two mystery prize destinations!
