Perennial classic ’80s comedy Big is returning to the big screen for one night only, thanks to the team at For Film’s Sake. Refreshingly sweet, undeniably funny, and showcasing the pure talent that is Tom Hanks, who dives into his role and infuses it with charm and surprising poignancy, Big is about, 13-year old New Jerseyite Josh who wants to be “big”. The next morning, Josh wakes up-only to discover that he’s grown to manhood overnight! Still a 13-year-old mentally and emotionally, Josh decides to hide out in New York City until he can figure out what to do next.
Big screens at Sydney’s Event Cinemas George St this Saturday, April 14, at 7.30pm. And remember the iconic FAO Schwarz “Walking Piano” scene from the film? For Film’s Sake (FFS) is bringing the piano to the cinema for your nostalgic dancing pleasure, and yes you CAN dance on it. Following the screening will be a “Big Kids” party in the Set Bar.
