Founder Alison Cotton recently unveiled the First Base collaboration with Toyota Yaris — a sustainable car interior made entirely out of pre-loved and recycled textures and garments hand-sewed by Cotton in her Paddington studio.
The ‘auto couture’ collaboration draws from a visual palette inspired by the Summer 2020 colour trends of desert-influenced tones — think sand, saffron and terracotta. Cotton found inspiration for the collaboration from heritage sports cars. She took that inspiration and married it with the First Base design ethos of ‘laid-back cool’ to deliver a truly unique car interior
