The Alpha Awards Photo Competition is back!
Showcase the very best of your photography captured on a Sony Alpha camera and lens for a chance to share in $54,000 (AUD) worth of Sony digital imaging gear.

Photographers from Australia and New Zealand are invited to submit their work across eleven categories:

Compact Camera
Creative
Editorial
Landscape
Nature

The competition commences at 12:00 PM AEDT on Thursday, 7 April 2022 and closes for submissions at 11:59PM AEST on Friday, 20 May 2022. All finalists will be notified by Wednesday, 22 June 2022.

Categories
Judging for all categories will be based on aesthetic considerations, including but not limited to the photographer's choice of subject, photographic technique and post-capture treatment.  Where possible, images should be entered in the most specific category (i.e. a photo that could go into Landscape or Seascape should be entered into Seascape).  Beyond this, category-specific criteria are listed below.

Youth:
The theme for the 2022 Youth competition is Start. The Youth Competition is run via Instagram; submissions are not accepted through Sony Scene.
